Green Producer Diary

My Motivation

I wanted to create a dramatic character for an opera that reminded us of our finite nature and that could be constructed with recycled materials because it’s necessary to contribute to the environmental cause by reusing already existing products and stop consuming constantly new items.

My Vetrine Journey

The stages are the usual ones in the creation of a textile design: investigate and design and translate the design into a garment. The biggest challenge was in general to create the volume in the upper part of the sleeves and to get the correct amount of padding for the spine. It was solved with patience and trial and error.

A Message to Consumers

I am a Tailored Costumes and Costumes for Shows student and my interests are creating costumes and garments that come from recycled materials as much as possible and that reflect passion and drama for the theatre, the opera or that can be used as statement clothes.

A Message to Future Learners

The best encouragement I think is to tell them that if  you like the result of what you do, then it’s well worth the time you spend doing it. Your personal satisfaction to get sustainability and design goals at the same time is priceless.
