Green Producer Diary

My Motivation

The craft and sewing supplies I buy are important to me, and I want to use all of them. I don’t like creating unnecessary waste. Instead of throwing away an old skirt, I decided to transform it into something new and useful. This way, I could give new life to something that would otherwise be discarded.

My Vetrine Journey

First, I had the idea of turning an old skirt into a functional shoulder bag. Then, I started visualizing how to decorate it and reshape it from a piece of clothing into a bag. After that, I gathered all the necessary materials from my existing craft supplies and began the process. I experimented with different embroidery threads until I found my favorite patterns. One of the challenges was creating the crochet parts of the bag, such as the handle and strap, but I improved through practice. Finally, I sewed everything together and successfully transformed the skirt into a bag. This process required patience, creativity, and persistence.

Sustainability Aspect

Your Actions / Explanation

I try to support local craft stores or hellenic craft stores and industries whenever possible.

Financial

I focus on low production costs while ensuring the product has a long lifespan

A Message to Consumers

I like to re-use all old items and not throw them away without making an effort to convert them into something new and useable. Also, i want to use fabrics and supplies with natural origin.

A Message to Future Learners

We should all protect the environment we live in and adopt a lifestyle that does not harm it. This is especially important for fashion designers, who can make a real difference through their work. Protecting nature means protecting our shared home.
